The Big Bopper Drive-in has been around since around the 1990s. I don't know if it was another drive-in before that. [map]

| Mearle's College Drive-in opened in 1940 as Tad's Drive-in. In the 1950s, it operated as Nielson's Drive-in. It became Mearle's in 1961. While it was Mearle's, the building was painted pink and aluminum awnings were added. Mearle's closed in 2006. In 2011, the building was renovated and reopened as the Habit Burger Grill. The neon "Mearle's" and "Drive-in" pylon signs were saved and are now in storage at the Tulare County Historical Society museum in Tulare, CA (second row, third photo above).
