Bryan's Cleaners opened in 1938 as Bryan's Cleaners & Dyers. The signs had been changed between the two photos above but the building remained the same. [map]

The Pasadena Winter Garden, an ice skating rink, opened in 1940. It closed in 1966 and became a post office sorting facility. After that, the building was vacant for more than ten years before becoming a storage facility. The building now houses a Public Storage. For more, see this website. [map]

The Warner Building was built in 1927. The glazed terra cotta details were designed by Jess Stanton. The building has housed Linden Optometry for many years. [map]

former Royal Laundry

The Royal Laundry building shown in the first row above was designed by Gordon B. Kaufman and built in 1927. The adjacent building shown in the bottom row was added in 1939. It featured drive-up service. The sign was added in 1955. The complex is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Royal Laundry closed in the 1980s. Progress Building was built in 1932. It originally housed the Progress Bulletin, a local newspaper. The building is now primarily used for art studios and galleries. [map]
