Chase Bank
Manhattan Beach, CA
This Chase Bank was built as a Coast Federal Bank. It later housed a Washington Mutual bank. There was a moat with water surrounding the building which has been filled in with stones. Does anyone know when this was built or who the architect was? For more, see this website. [map]

South Bay Bank
Manhattan Beach, CA
This South Bay Bank was designed by Craig Ellwood and built from 1957-1958. The building is currently vacant. For more, see this website. [map]

Modesto Savings & Loan
Modesto, CA
This Modesto Savings & Loan branch was designed by Mortensen & Hollstien and built in 1965. It was later a World Savings & Loan and a Wachovia Bank. The building was vacant when these photos were taken in 2014. The building now houses Venue 833. [map]

Wells Fargo Bank
North Hollywood, CA
This Bank of America branch was built in 1963. [map]

This Wells Fargo Bank was built in 1960 as the Los Angeles Federal Savings & Loan Tower. It was designed by Douglas Honnold and John Rex. Many murals have been painted on the side of the building over the years. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

former Sumitomo Bank of California
Oakland, CA
This Sumitomo Bank of California was designed by Shigenori Iyama and Robert Tanaka. It opened in 1965. The building has housed a California Bank & Trust branch since 1998. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

former Asiana Bank [gone]
Oakland, CA
This Asiana Bank was built in 1974. The building later housed the Global Entertainment video store which closed around 2008. The building was vacant after that. These photos are from 2015. The building was demolished in 2016.

This Pomona First Federal Bank branch was designed by Michael Black and built in 1974. The building most recently housed a US Bank. It was vacant in 2021. [map]
