First Republic Bank
Cupertino, CA
This First Republic Bank branch and the other building on the far right with the same style arched roof are part of Allaro Center. The buildings appear to be from the 1950s or 1960s. The bank housed a Regus bank branch in 2009. I don't know what bank was here originally. [map]

Chase Bank
El Cajon, CA
This Chase Bank was probably built in the 1970s. I don't know what bank was here originally. The design seems to be a match for the bank that was located in Oakland, CA. [map]

Chase Bank
El Monte, CA
This Chase Bank branch appears to be from the 1960s. [map]

former Fremont Bank
Fremont, CA
This former Fremont Bank was built in 1970. The building has housed Suju's Coffee since 2012. It had been vacant since around 2000. [map]

former Fremont Bank [gone]
Fremont, CA
This former Fremont Bank was built in 1971. It has been vacant since at least 2011. In 2019, the building was surrounded by chain link fencing and seemed headed for demolition. It was gone by 2020. For more, see this website.

former Sequoia Savings Bank
Fresno, CA
This former Sequoia Savings Bank was designed by Robert W. Stevens. The building now houses an AT&T store. [map]

Bank of the West
Fresno, CA
former Guarantee Savings & Loan [gone]
Fresno, CA
This Bank of the West branch in Fresno was built in 1967. [map]

This Guarantee Savings & Loan branch was designed by Robert W. Stevens and built in 1959. The tiles on the facade are fired adobe. It was a Citibank from at least 2007-2014. The building was vacant when these photos were taken in 2015. By 2017, it was surrounded by chain link fencing. By 2019, the building's details were all gone and the building was painted white. It now houses a Little Caesars.

former Guarantee Savings & Loan
Fresno, CA
This former Guarantee Savings & Loan branch was designed in 1957 by Robert W. Stevens. It is now a Citibank. The sculpture on the side of the building shown at the right represented an abacus. The abacus was removed in 2021. After public outcry, the pieces were retrieved and put in storage. They were badly damaged during removal. In 2023, a replica abacus was installed. [map]
