former station
Monrovia, CA
This former station appears to be from the 1920s or 1930s. These Flying A pumps were installed by 2007. They were removed in 2020. I don't know what brand of gas was sold here originally. [map]

Carl Luck Filling Station
San Juan Bautista, CA
The Carl Luck Filling Station was built in 1919. In the 1970s, the building was donated to the city. It has been used as the Historical Society's museum since 1999. [map]

former Richfield Beacon station
Mount Shasta, CA
This Richfield Beacon station was built in the early 1930s. There were several stations of this design built in Northern California and Washington along Highways 99 and 101. Each of them had a 125-foot-tall tower. These towers were lit and served as beacons for airplanes at night. The vertical letters on two sides of the towers spelled out "Richfield." The third side had letters for the location, in this case, the letters "MS" for Mount Shasta remain. The building has been vacant for many years. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3. [map]

former Richfield Beacon station
Paso Robles, CA
This Richfield Beacon station was built by 1929. The tower was removed in 1995. The building has apparently been vacant for many years. [map]

former Richfield Beacon station
Santa Rosa, CA
This Richfield Beacon station was built around 1928. The building was moved from a different location in town sometime before 1952 and converted into a house. [map]

former Richfield Beacon station
Willows, CA
This Richfield Beacon station now houses a trucking company. [map]

There are two other Richfield Beacon station survivors left in Oregon.
