Diners

(hit "refresh" to get the most recent version of this page)

This section focuses on "real" diners: prefabricated restaurant units that were produced by diner companies. Typically, they are covered with stainless steel or porcelain enamel panels. A variety of styles are represented here including barrel-roofed Worcesters, streamlined Sterlings, cute little Valentines, Foderos, Mountain Views, and more. There are more than 450 diners represented in this section. Since the focus of my website is on vintage structures, I have only included a few modern diners. I am more interested in exteriors than interiors but you will find plenty of indoor diner photos as well. There are more than 80 pages and over 1,200 photos in this section. I don't discuss the food since the focus here is on architecture. If you find diners that I have missed, I'd love to hear from you. Enjoy!
