Boondocks Diner
Deadwood, SD
The Boondocks Diner is a Valentine Diner, possibly from 1945. It may have been installed here in the 1950s. The diner is hidden from the front by a canopy. It is surrounded by an amusement park, stores, cabins, and camping. This photo is from 2012. In 2015, the complex closed and the owners put everything up for auction. The diner and some of the other buildings were sold to new owners who plan to reopen the place. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]
