Capital City Diner [gone]
Washington, DC
The Capital City Diner is a Silk City from 1948. It was previously located in Avoca, NY where it was known as the Avoca Diner and the Country Goose Diner. It was moved here in 2009 and opened in 2010. The place closed in 2012 and was moved to into storage at the former D.C. Farmers Market. In 2015, it was reported that the diner may soon be coming out of storage. However, nothing has happened as of 2017. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.
