| Compton's Hardware featured two great Dutch Boy signs. Both of these signs were mass-produced. By 2018, the store and signs were gone. There are still a handful of these signs like the one on the right still on display around the country. |

The Moon-Lite Motel sign is probably from the 1950s or 1960s. For more, see this website. [map] This Masonic Lodge sign might have read "Masonic Temple" originally. The "Lodge" piece looked like it was tacked on later. By 2025, this sign had been replaced with a modern plastic sign. |

This Marsh Foodliner sign is from the 1950s. Marsh Supermarkets moved the sign to this new location when it opened around 1992. The chain built other signs like this but I believe this is the only one left. In 2017, this location closed. The sign was moved to the Yorktown Historical Alliance in Yorktown, IN where it will be displayed. For more, see this website.
The Wishing Well Motel sign is probably from the 1950s. For more, see this website. [map] |

The Ohio Valley Gas Corporation was founded in 1943 in Tell City, IN. It expanded to Winchester around 1947. This tile facade might be from the 1950s or 1960s. [map] |
| Buster Brown Shoes Yorktown, IN |
![]() |
| This Buster Brown Shoes sign is part of a private collection displayed in front of a residence. I don't know where it came from. I believe the top reads "Shu Stop." This sign has been at this location since at least 2013. The paint on the bottom of the panel read "X-Ray Fitting" but that was probably not the original text. [map] |
