former Famous-Barr

This Famous-Barr department store was built in 1973 and now houses a Macy's. The dome was destroyed during a tornado in 2006 and rebuilt. There are a couple of other similar Famous-Barr buildings in Missouri. For more, see this website. [map]

The Mary Allen West Tower apartment building for seniors was built from 1977-1978. The building looks identical to the Olesen Plaza building in Rockford, IL which was built in 1973. [map]

This Fire Department was built in 1960. [map]

Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum
Justice, IL
The Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum was designed by Harley, Ellington, Cowin, & Stirton and built in 1969. It has one of the largest stained glass installations in the world with 2,448 panels. For more, see this website. [map]
