Various hair salons occupied the building since the early 1970s. By 2014, the building was housing the Vape Escape. Around 2021, the building was demolished.

This former Mr. Swiss in Henderson housed Raymond James Financial Services when this photo was taken in 2011. The building was still there in 2013 but gone by 2016.

This former Mr. Swiss was vacant when these photos were taken in 2016. The adapted pole sign for Barb & Ed's Drive-in was still there while there was a banner on the building saying "Manny's Cafe Coming Soon." I believe the building is still vacant. [map]

Harrington's Drive-in
Quincy, WA
Harrington's Drive-in has occupied this Mr. Swiss building since 1978. [map]

The short-lived Chicken Chef chain (1968-1971) had locations in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and Tennessee. Apparently, there were locations in a few other states as well. There are still a few surviving buildings and one still operating location (see the blue box at the bottom of this page). The buildings look very similar to Mr. Swiss. However, the box-like structure in front of the building has a sloped roof. The pitch forward of the A-frame is also not as steep.

former Chicken Chef
Morgan City, LA
This former Chicken Chef opened in 1969. The building is now housing Gorilla Rentals. [map]

There were plans to open 20 Chicken Chefs in Louisiana. When this store opened in Morgan City, there were operating locations in Baton Rouge and Lafayette. I don't know if any others in Louisiana actually opened other than the one in Hammond (below) and Ferriday (bottom of this page).

Approved Cash Advance
Canton, MS
I believe that this Approved Cash Advance building was most likely a Chicken Chef rather than a Mr. Swiss. The boxy part of the building does not have the typical slope but that was probably a later remodeling. The building now houses Vape Cloud. [map]

Fat Mo's
Murfreesboro, TN
This Fat Mo's building originally housed a Chicken Chef. It was there by 1971. Fat Mo's was established in 1991 and has 18 locations in the Nashville area. As far as I know, this is the only location which occupies an A-frame building like this. Another Fat Mo's location in Nashville occupies a former Central Park restaurant. This building now houses Greek Gyro. [map]
