Traubel's Popcorn
Beatrice, NE
The Traubel's Popcorn stand opened in 1937. In 1987, the original stand was donated to the Gage County Historical Society where it is displayed. A replica was built and installed in 2014 across the street from where the original was located. The stand is operated by Community Possibilities which donates the profits to local groups. For more, see this website. [map]

This Dairy Sweet has been there since at least 1969. There are other locations in Iowa. [map]

Scotty's Drive-in

The other three surviving locations are in Aberdeen, SD; Idaho Falls, ID; and Bismarck, ND. There were other locations in Mitchell, SD; Sioux City, IA; Glendive, MT; Helena, MT, and possibly others. If you know of any others, I'd love to hear about them.
