Golden Gate Park Carousel
San Francisco, CA
The Golden Gate Park Carousel is a Herschell-Spillman from 1914. This carousel was installed in Lincoln Park in Los Angeles from 1914-1931. It then went to Portland, OR until 1933. The carousel appeared at the World's Fair in San Francisco from 1939-1940. It has been in Golden Gate Park since 1940.

There are 28 jumping horses, 10 standing horses, a tiger, a lion, a giraffe, a stork, a deer, a camel, a dragon, two frogs, two cats, two zebras, two dogs, two roosters, two mules, two ostriches, and two pigs. There is also a Dentzel goat, two tubs and two chariots. For more, see this website.
