The Skyvue Grill opened in 2013. This sign was built then. The building was built in 1957 for an Arctic Circle drive-in. In 2017, the place closed and the building was demolished. Around 2018, the sign was adapted to read "Skyvue Center" and new stores were built on the lot. [map]

The Cabana Inn sign was installed in the late 1950s or 1960s. Originally, the hat was painted black and the plastic letters read "MOTEL". sign collection
Boise, ID
The signs shown above are part of Vangie Osborn's vintage sign collection from Boise businesses. She has been looking for years for a space to install them and funds to restore them. In 2014, she reached an agreement with the Idaho State Historical Museum to restore and display the signs. However, nothing has happened yet. For more, see this website.
