Lallatin Food Town

The Lallatin Food Town was built in 1962. The sign on the right has been replaced with backlit plastic letters and a plastic panel sign. [map]

Intelligent Employment Solutions
Twin Falls, ID
The Intelligent Employment Solutions appears to be from the 1950s or 1960s. I don't know what business was here originally. [map]

Dome Technology
Idaho Falls, ID
Dome Technology was established in 1975. The company has built more than 550 domes around the world since then. The first monolithic dome shown above in the top row and the dome in the bottom row were probably built in the 1970s. The second dome in the top row was just being built when these photos were taken in 2014. [map]

A-1 Rental
Rexburg, ID
Reinke Grain Co.
Ashton, ID
The A-1 Rental monolithic dome was produced by Dome Technology in the late 1970s. The roof was clad with metal. It was built for a frozen food facility known as Pappy's Distributing or Pappy's Warehouse. A-1 Rental has been here since around 1990. [map]

The Reinke Grain Co. was established in the 1940s. This geodesic dome building appears to be from the 1960s or 1970s. [map]

Payette High School
Payette, ID
Payette High School was built in 1962 as a junior high school. This dome gymnasium was added in 1974 when it was converted to a high school. I don't know when the building in the bottom row above was built but it appears to be from the 1960s. [map]

Holt Arena
Pocatello, ID
The Holt Arena was built in 1970 as the ASISU Minidome for Idaho State University. It was the first domed stadium built on a U.S. college campus. It was renamed the Holt Arena in 1988. For more, see this website. [map]

Old Town Pocatello
Pocatello, ID
The Old Town Pocatello building was built in 1952 for The Huddle restaurant. It housed the Copycat Print print shop in 1972. [map]
