First Christian Church [gone]
Oklahoma City, OK
The First Christian Church was designed by R. Duane Conner and built in 1956. The shape of this building has led to nicknames such as the "Egg Church" and the "Boob Church". The building had been vacant since 2020. It was demolished in 2022. The Jewel Box Theatre next door, shown in the bottom two rows above, was also demolished. The Oklahoma Disciples Center building was designed by Fred Pojezny, Jr. and built in 1964. It is located on the First Christian Church campus. [map]

St. Patrick's Catholic Church
Oklahoma City, OK
St. Patrick's Catholic Church was built in 1962. It was designed by Robert L. Jones of Murray, Jones & Murray. The bells in the bell tower were missing in 2012 but they were back by 2014. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]
