former Bowling Green Bank & Trust Company
Bowling Green, KY
This former Bowling Green Bank & Trust Company building housed the Potter Opera House from the 1880s until 1925. It began housing the bank after that. In 1964, the bank remodeled the facade to its current look. The City bought the building in 2026 and there are plans to bring back the original facade. [map]

Whitaker Bank
Corbin, KY
This Whittaker Bank appears to be mid-century modern. This structure is used as a drive-thru window and ATM. I don't think it was ever a walk-in bank. [map]

former Dawson Springs Bank
Dawson Springs, KY
This Dawson Springs Bank was built in 1969. The building later housed a US Bank and has been vacant since 2021. U.S. Bank

unidentified bank
Frankfort, KY
I believe this unidentified bank branch was vacant when this photo was taken in 2010. It was still vacant in 2013. The building is located in the Frankfort Plaza shopping center. The building appears to be from the 1960s or 1970s. [map]

Lexington:
former Peoples Bank [gone]

River City Bank
Louisville, KY
The River City Bank appears to be 1960s. However, it might have been a much older building that was remodeled and these metal screens were added then. [map]

former American National Bank
Newport, KY
This American National Bank branch was designed by Paul Kiel and built from 1948-1949. The building now houses a Heritage Bank branch. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

former Home Federal Savings and Loan Association
Paducah, KY
This Home Federal Savings and Loan Association branch was built in 1956. The building now houses the Goodwill Opportunity Center. [map]
