The Castle Court looks like it was built as a motel. The Castle Court Shops sign is installed just to the west of this building. Does anyone know the history of this place? [map]

Castle Building [gone]
Clovis, NM
This Castle Building had been vacant for many years. I'm told that this building had been used as a liquor store and lounge, a second-hand shop, and a grocery store. The castle features were not part of the building's original construction. Supposedly, those details were added in the mid-1980s. Does anyone know when and what business added the castle look? In 2022, all of the castle features were removed.

Blue Castle Auto was previously the Blue Castle Alignment Shop. There were knight statues installed below the roofline. Does anyone know when this building was constructed or more about it? In 2022, the castle details were removed from the building. For more, see this website.

This Castle in Moriarty is located at McCall's Pumpkin Patch. It was built around 2015. [map]

Sandcastle Self Storage
Albuquerque, NM
Sandcastle Self Storage may have been built in 1985. I don't know if this was the original tenant. There might be a house on top of the building. [map]

Gene's Locksmith

 Excalibur Hotel & Casino
Las Vegas, NV
The Gene's Locksmith building has been used as a music venue and an elephant-themed museum. It was built in 1991. I don't know what business was located here originally. It may have been a games arcade. This photo is from 2014. In 2017, the building began housing the Sunset Castle Banquet Hall. The turrets have been painted blue. For more, see this website. [map]

The Excalibur Hotel & Casino was built in 1990. When it opened, it was the largest hotel in the world with more than 4,000 rooms and covering over 70 acres. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Kingdom Gentlemen's Club [gone]
Pahrump, NV
The Kingdom Gentlemen's Club opened in 2004. This building was constructed then. This photo is from 2014. The building had been vacant since 2015. It was demolished in 2019.

Whiskey Pete's Hotel & Casino
Primm, NV
Whiskey Pete's Hotel & Casino was built in 1977. It expanded with the multi-story hotel in 1983. Whiskey Pete was Pete McIntyre's nickname. He operated a store, gas station, and bootlegging operation in Primm in the 1920s. For more, see this website. [map]

This Castle Building in Reno appeared to be vacant when this photo was taken in 2014. Previously, it was used for a used car dealership. Does anyone know what was here originally? The building was demolished in 2015.

The Castle Auto Sales building appears to be an oldie. Does anyone know when it was built or what its original function was? My guess is that it originally housed a gas station. This photo is from 2009. By 2019, the building had been painted a gold color. By 2023, it had been remodeled with new brick and other details have been lost. [map]

These Sno Castle ice cream stands must have been part of a chain. There is a similar snow cone stand in Latonia, KY with the same name and font style. That stand has closed now. [Youngstown map] [Anderson map]
