former Conoco station
Hays, KS
This former Conoco station now houses the Off the Top hair salon. [map]

Garden City, KS
former station
Garden City, KS
The former Conoco station on the left last housed the Southwest Vinyl Top Center. It appears to be vacant now. [map]

The former station on the right now houses a used car dealer. It may have been built as a Conoco or a Marland station. [map]

former Conoco station
Phillipsburg, KS
former Conoco station [gone]
Kinsley, KS
This former Conoco station in Phillipsburg has been heavily modified. [map]

This former Conoco station in Kinsley was in use as a car wash for a number of years. The building appeared to be vacant in 2018. It was demolished by 2021.

former Service Oil station
Deerfield, KS
This former Service Oil station was built in 1923 and sold Shell products. In 1931, it became a Texaco station. The station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The pump island, sign, and simulated pumps were added sometime between 2008 and 2012. For more, see this website. [map]

former Conoco station
Norton, KS

2010:

2023:

This former Conoco station was built in the 1930s. It became the Underwood Conoco around 1943. It is one of the rare survivors of this design with the rock-outlined doorway. The station was restored by Larry Urban. [map]

former station
Great Bend, KS

2010:

2023:
This former station appears to be from the 1930s. It doesn't share enough design elements with either Conoco or Phillips 66 to have been built as those brands. The building housed the Ensueno Hair Studio from around 2008-2016. It housed a couple of businesses after that. It is currently vacant. [map]

former station
Hays, KS

2010:

2023:
This former station, also known as the Tower Service Station, was built around 1932. It was independently operated but sold Texaco gas. The building is now used for office space. In 2022, it was repainted orange and red. [map]

former Phillips 66 station
Sterling, KS
This former Phillips 66 station was built around 1933. In 1954, the building began housing J&B Dairyland, now TNT Dairyland. For more, see this website. [map]

former station
Hutchinson, KS
This former station was built around 1935. I assume that it was also built as a Phillips 66 like the one in Sterling above which has an identical design. The building was in bad shape and nearly covered with vegetation in 2012. It had been restored by 2018 for a used car lot. These photos are from 2023. [map]

former station
Atchison, KS

2010:

2023:
This former station was built in 1930 and has an iceberg-like exterior. Does anyone know the history of this building? It housed A Touch of Class Styling Salon in 2010. The building was vacant in 2016. By 2021, the building was painted dark gray. It now houses the Sapphire Spider tattoo studio. [2010 photo thanks Steve Leek] [map]

former station
Jewell, KS
This former station has been vacant for many years. [map]

former gas station
Chetopa, KS
This former Chetopa station was evidently a Sinclair at one time. The building now houses Wizzard of Odds. The building probably had a restaurant at one time. There appear to be former tourist cottages behind it as well. [map]
