Wilson Theatre
Fresno, CA
The Wilson Theatre was designed by H. Rafael Lake and opened in 1925. In the early 1940s, it was known as the Fox Wilson Theatre. It closed in 1971. From around 1986-1996, the building was used for rock concerts. Since 1997, it has housed the Cornerstore Church. For more, see this website. [map]

Azteca Theatre
Fresno, CA
2013: 2022:
The Azteca Theatre opened in 1948 with films and live entertainment. By 2016, the building had been painted dark red and the remaining neon had been removed from the sign. Around 2018, the building and sign were repainted to its current look. The theatre is sometimes used for live events. For more, see this website. [map]

Liberty Theatre
Fresno, CA
The Liberty Theatre was built in 1917. It was renamed Hardy's Theatre in 1931. In 1978, the theatre was renamed the Mexico Theatre and the Hardy's blade sign was reworked. That sign was removed in 2005. The building was used as a church in recent years. The building is now being restored and the sign will be relit. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Warnors Theatre
Fresno, CA
The Warnors Theatre opened in 1928 as the Pantages Theatre. It was designed by B. Marcus Priteca. In 1929, it became the Warner's Theatre. In the 1960s, the name was changed to Warnors. Tower Theatre
Fresno, CA
The Tower Theatre was designed by S. Charles Lee and opened in 1939. The theatre was restored in 1990. It is now known as the Tower Theatre for the Performing Arts. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Crest Theatre
Fresno, CA
The Crest Theatre opened in 1949. In recent years, the building was used by a church. In 2005, the church moved out and the building became vacant. It was then used as a nightclub, the Club Latino.
