entering El Trovatore
Kingman, AZ
This Packard sign is believed to be from about 1930. As part of a Route 66 Association of Kingman project, this sign was restored and installed in 2016 at the former Old Trails Garage where it was hung last. The sign had been in storage for decades. It had been installed at two other locations in Kingman before it was moved to the Old Trails Garage. For more, see this website. [map]

This OK Used Cars sign is from around 1960. It was restored and installed at Dunton Motors in 2016. These signs were mass-produced by Chevrolet. For more, see this website. [map]

The Entering El Trovatore sign was built around 1936 and installed at the new roadway that cut through El Trovatore Hill. The sign was removed in the late 1940s. The Mohave Museum of History & Arts donated the sign to the Route 66 Association of Kingman. The sign was then restored by Legacy Signs & Iron and hung on the side of the sign shop's building in 2017. For more, see this website. [map]

2012: 2017: 2021:
The King's Arms Restaurant sign was built when the restaurant opened in the early 1960s. Later, the sign's shield was replaced with a cocktail glass. The sign advertised for the ABC Buffet for many years. In 2016, the sign was repainted for the India Spice-N-Bar. By 2021, the sign had been adapted for La Catrina Restaurant. The tip of the spear had been removed to look more like a drink stirrer. For more, see this website. [map]

Jarman Shoes
Miami, AZ
Bracker's Department Store

Coffee Ern's
Parker, AZ
These Jarman Shoes signs must have been mass-produced but this is the only one I have seen. The neon below the sign apparently alternated between Eddie's and Edlen's. I assume the name of the store was Eddie Edlen's. [map]

The Bracker's Department Store was established in 1924. These signs are from the 1950s. In 2017, it was announced that the store would be closing. In 2018, the facade sign was removed and reportedly going to Robert M. Bracker Elementary School in Nogales. The vertical neon sign remains. [map]
