former nightclub
Sturtevant, WI
This former nightclub has been closed for many years. It was part of Vance's Bar and Club 41 which operated from the 1950s-1990s. I believe this entrance was built in 1963. The place closed in 1995 and was vacant until recently. The building now houses the Abandoned Haunted House Complex. [map]

Wausau, WI
This Rainbow Snow shaved ice kiosk looks like it might have been a photo developing place originally. It looks like it was built in the 1960s or 1970s. This kiosk apparently makes (or made) appearances at local fairs. It was parked in the Trig's supermarket parking lot when these photos were taken in 2011. The kiosk was gone by 2016. The Mountain Lanes bowling alley was built in 1962. It closed in 2017. The building was demolished for apartments in 2019. A twin to this bowling alley was also built in 1962 Marshfield, WI as Janes Lanes. It is still there and now operating as the Rose Bowl Lanes.
