This building was designed by Johnson, Ritchhart and Associates, for Irving Materials and built in 1962. The cast concrete panels were created by Robert Youngman. Irving Materials has moved to a new location and the building is currently vacant. [map]

The Minas parking garage was built in 1960 for the E.C. Minas department store which operated from 1894-1984. It features pebbled concrete screens. In 1981, the parking garage was sold to the First Baptist Church. The vertical sign was adapted at that time. [map]

The Hyatt Regency is part of the PNC Center which was designed by Browning Day Pollak Associates and built from 1974-1977. The building originally housed Merchants Plaza, the headquarters of Merchants National Bank and Trust Company. It became the PNC Center in 2010. The round structure at the top of the building is part of the original design and houses the Eagle's Nest, a revolving restaurant. For more, see this website. [map]
