Big Twigs
Dunmor, KY
The Big Twigs are six giant tree creatures shown hiking, fishing, reading, toasting marshmallows, and catching butterflies. The statues were installed in Lake Malone State Park in 2021 and 2022. They were created by Steve Brauch with steel frames and fiberglass skins. For more, see this website. [map]

Humpty Dumpty's Great Fall
Frankfort, KY
This Humpty Dumpty's Great Fall sculpture was installed at the Garden Hall in 2022. There is another Humpty Dumpty in Frankfort entitled "Eggcited" which is seated in front of the Paul Sawyier Public Library. Both were created by Kimber Fiebiger who has produced many other Humpty Dumpty statues all over the country, like these in Colorado Springs, CO. [map]

Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett
Hazel, KY
This Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett sculpture group is located at the Tennessee and Kentucky state line. Boone was from Kentucky while Crockett ws from Tennessee. The two frontiersmen are depicted with their rifles and hunting dogs, Old Blue and Mohawk. The sculptures were created by Glenn Earl Newman and installed in 2009. [map]

Abraham Lincoln
Hodgenville, KY
These two bronze sculptures of Abraham Lincoln depict him as a boy and as a man. The sculpture of the adult Lincoln was created by Adolph Alexander Weinman and installed in 1909 in Lincoln Square. The sculpture of Lincoln as a 7-year-old boy with his dog was created by the Daub Firmin Hendrickson Sculpture Group and added to the Square in 2008. For more, see this website. [map]

Road Warrior

This bronze Road Warrior sculpture was created by Wyatt Gragg and installed here in 2021. It is a tribute to Dr. E. Bruce Heilman, a local Marine veteran. For more, see this website. [map]

Big Brothers Big Sisters

The first two Kosair Shriners statues above are installed in front of Kosair Shriners Temples. The third Shriner statue was installed at a Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2009. In 2023, the child's head was severed in a storm and repaired. The Shriners organization has more than twenty Children's Hospitals around the country. These "Editorial Without Words" statues are installed elsewhere around the country, including these in Atlanta, GA, Las Vegas, NV, Knoxville, TN, and Richmond, VA. David
Louisville, KY
This 30-foot-tall statue of David is nearly twice the height of Michelangelo's statue. It was created with spray-painted foam by Serkan Ozkaya in 2005 for the International Istanbul Biennial. It was briefly installed in New York in 2011 and then moved here in front of the 21c Museum Hotel. [map]

This wax Colonel Sanders sculpture was located at the Louisville Visitors Center. In 2024, it moved to the Frazier Kentucky History Museum.
