This former Gulf station in Paris housed Crabtree's restaurant when this photo was taken in 2011. It housed the Bois D'Arc restaurant after that. It now houses Tacos Queretaro. [map]

This former Gulf station in Colorado City was vacant when this photo was taken in 2006. The service bays were hidden behind a brick addition. By 2012, the building was gone.

In 2007, part of this former Gulf station was incorporated into a Wachovia Bank branch. The former gas station office was converted into ATM machine space while the service bay building was demolished. In 2011, when these photos were taken, the building was vacant. This former Gulf station was built in 1957. It had been vacant since at least 2007. The Gulf letters disappeared from the building around 2010. In 2017, the building began housing Bowls and Tacos. In 2020, a Phillips 66 style canopy was installed in front of the building. Just after these photos, a Thunderbird sign was mounted on its tip. The building housed the Thunderbird Station bar until 2023. The building is vacant now. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

This former Gulf station in Big Spring appeared to be vacant when this photo was taken in 2012. The building was being restored in 2021 and neon Gulf letters were installed on the canopy. The porcelain enamel panels were removed and the exterior was modeled after an earlier Gulf design like these with a single post canopy and Art Deco details. [map]
