former Pure Oil station
McMinnville, TN
This former Pure Oil station was built in 1932 and was known as the Spring Street Service Station. It closed in the late 1980s and became home to a taxi business. The building then remained vacant for many years. It was restored and began housing an art studio known as Pure Art until 2005. These photos are from 2003. In 2020, the building began housing Pure Wealth Partners. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The large canopy was more commonly used by Pure Oil in the South to provide shade for customers. [map]

This former Pure Oil station was built in 1937 and is also known as the Hinds Brothers Service Station. The bay is now used as a law office. [map]

This former Pure Oil station last housed the Paradise Salon and an Allstate office. Although the building had a metal roof, it still had a "P" on the chimney. The building had been demolished by 2021.

This former Pure Oil station housed Lavender Motors, a used car dealer, when these photos were taken in 2010. Since 2012, the significantly remodeled building has housed M.L. Rose Craft Beer & Burgers. [map]

This former Pure Oil station was built in 1939. It is now used for storage. The building has been painted white with red trim. For more, see this website. [map]

This Pure Oil sign is either abandoned or was installed in recent years. The building next to it does not appear to have ever been a gas station. [map]

2010:
This former Pure Oil station was home to Tennessee Correctional Services in 2007. In 2010, the building appeared to be vacant. The step railings had been removed, some windows were replaced, and some siding was added to the building. By 2012, the building was housing Mind Matters, a psychiatric clinic. The building was demolished around 2019.

This former Pure Oil station was vacant when these photos were taken in 2005. The building still had some original details including the "P" on the drainpipe. The building was demolished in 2008.
