This carved wooden Bear at Wigwam Willie's had mechanical paws with guns that moved up and down. This photo is from 2011. By 2015, the business and statue were gone.
The Bear in Owosso stands next to the Owosso Carpet Center. The statue was installed by the carpet store that was here previously. It is cemented in place to prevent it from being stolen for pranks. The bear was wearing an apron and chef's hat for Father's Day when this photo was taken in 2011. The store dresses him in different outfits throughout the year. In 2005, a naming contest was held. The bear was named Oliver after James Oliver Curwood, a famous author from Owosso. This type of bear statue is usually found at mini golf courses. [map] This pair of Bears in Dundee was installed in front of a Cabela's store in 2000. The 24-foot-tall bronze sculpture is entitled "Fierce Encounter". It was created by Mike Hamby. [map] |

| The Traverse City Bear and Mackinaw City Bear are installed above the entrances to the Bear Company clothing stores. I believe there were only these two locations. The Traverse City location was built in 2008. The Mackinaw City store has closed. The Traverse City store and Bear were still there in 2020. The Mackinaw City Bear and Cub were gone by 2018. [map] |

The carved wood Black Bear in Northome has been downtown since at least 1995. It is about 15 feet tall. Northome is known as the Big Bear Capitol and holds an annual Bear Fest. [map]
This Bear statue in Cook was installed in front of a residence. It was gone by 2023. The Bear statue in Hill City is located in the town park. It was produced by FAST is about nine feet tall. The statue was installed in 1985. [map] |

This bronze Grizzly Bear was installed in front of the Boone & Crockett Club in 2001. It is nine feet tall and was created by Kalispell Art Castings. It was based on a 24-inch-tall sculpture by James L. Clark. It was restored in 2010. [map]

The chainsaw wood-carved Mother Bear statue in Tulsa was created by Clayton Cross. It stands in front of the John Knox Presbyterian Church as a tribute to Chelsea Rose Murphy. [map]
This Gentle Ben wood-carved statue is eight feet tall. It is located at Morey's Landing Park. Walt Morey wrote the children's book "Gentle Ben" in 1965. This statue was stolen in 2012 and recovered. [map] This Grizzly Bear and Salmon statue had been on the roof of Ken's Sporting Goods since the late 1980s. The fiberglass statue is about 16 1/2 feet tall. Ken called him "Griz". This store catered mostly to the hunting and fishing crowd but also sold liquor. It closed around 2017 and the building is vacant. The bear is still there. [map] |

The Bear sculpture in Downingtown is located at the entrance of Firecreek Restaurant & Bar. This photo is from 2010. Firecreek closed in 2013. Stella Rossa Ristorante opened soon after that and was renamed Barra Rossa in 2014. The bear statue is gone.
The Bear in Amarillo is located at Today's Style Too which has many other animal statues for sale. The aluminum bear was created with a mold which was based on the vintage fiberglass versions. [map] The Grizzly Bear statue in Hoquiam stands at Hoquiam High School, the Home of the Grizzlies. It has been here since at least 2004. It is about 15 feet tall and made of wood. [map] |

This Grizzly Bear in Richland is located at the Uptown Mall in front of the Uptown Triplex Theatre. The eight-foot-tall bronze bear was created by Max Turner in 2006. [map]
The Brown Bear Car Wash chain has nearly 50 locations throughout Washington. I believe most, if not all of them, have a variety of bear statues. [map] |

These Bears and other sculptures in Afton are installed in front of the Mountain Valley Gallery. They were created by Jonathan the Bear Man whose work is also displayed inside the store.
