Bell Theatre
Pineville, KY
The Bell Theatre was built in 1939 and closed in 1971. In the early 1990s, the City took possession of the building. It closed again in 2000. By 2015, it had been restored and reopened. It now offers movies, live performances, and meeting space. For more, see this website. [map]

Strand Theatre
Prestonsburg, KY
The Strand Theatre opened in 1949. It closed in 2013. In 2024, the sign was removed and restored. It reopened in 2026 as the Star City Strand, a live entertainment venue. For more, see this website. [map]
