This Hodges Pontiac Buick building appears to be from the 1940s. The dealership is still in operation. [map]
Bollinger's was established in 1914 as a Dodge dealership. The company later sold Chrysler, Plymouth and Jeep vehicles as well. The dealership closed in 2009 as a result of Chrysler's bankruptcy. The building was still vacant when this photo was taken in 2011. [map]
|former Key Motor Mall
The Key Motor Mall was built in 1965. The showroom is round with a folded plate roof. Next door, there is a smaller replica structure (bottom photo) that functioned as the used car lot office. Key Motors sold Nissan, Isuzu, Oldsmobile and other makes. The dealership closed sometime between 2005 and 2009. The building was still vacant when these photos were taken in 2011. In 2014, the building was still vacant and the smaller building was gone. The framework of the building had been painted green. Since around 2015, the building has been housing Madani Muslim Community Service. By 2016, the sign had been painted over. [map]
Wetmore's has always been a service garage and not a showroom. But I'll sneak it in anyway since the business has an interesting building. Wetmore's has been here since 1928. Various cars with spinning, misaligned wheels have been protruding from the second floor alcove since then. For more, see this website. [map]
