The former Galloway Motor Company dealership was built in 1948. It was selling Fords then. The building has been vacant for many years. [map]

Cross Chrysler Jeep

Cross Chrysler Jeep has a domed, round showroom. While this building looks a lot like a Dodge Dome, I'm told that it was built in 1977 when Cross was selling Pontiacs. [map]

Paul Miller Ford
Lexington, KY
2010: 2026:
The Paul Miller Ford dealership was established in 1953 at a downtown location. This building was designed by Helm Roberts and the company moved here in 1965. Sometime between 2012 and 2015, the neon "FORD" letters on the sign were replaced with backlit plastic letters.

Hyperbolic parabola roofs such as this one were all the rage in the mid-1960s. The Ken Wilson Chevrolet building in Vestal, NY featured the same design. There are numerous other examples of banks, churches, and other buildings with these roofs throughout my Mid-Century Modern section as well. For more, see this website. [map]
