The King Louie East Lanes was built in 1955 and closed around 2007. The building now houses the Academy for Integrated Arts. These mushroom canopies from the bowling alley are located at the back of the building. For more, see this website. [map]

| The Municipal Court building in the photo on the left was designed by Linscott, Kiene & Haylett and built from 1972-1974. The Police Headquarters addition is between this building and the Art Deco police building from 1938. The addition was designed by Helix Architecture + Design and built in 2014 in the mid-century style. [map] |

Arrowhead Stadium was built between 1968-1972. This football stadium was designed by Charles Deaton, who also is responsible for the Colonial Bank in Denver, CO. Arrowhead's building design influenced those of many other later stadiums. [map]
Kaufmann Stadium was originally named Royal Stadium. It is located next door to Arrowhead Stadium. Together, they are known as the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex. Kaufmann Stadium is used for baseball. This building was also designed by Deaton and built at the same time as Arrowhead, opening in 1973. [map] |
