Roeper School
Bloomfield Hills, MI
The Roeper School uses these eight domes for classrooms during the school year and as changing rooms for the adjacent pool during the summer. For more, see this website. [map]

Dome House
Detroit, MI
This Dome House was built in 1998. It consists of two connected domes. The owners added mosaics around the doors. The house has been vacant since at least 2009. This photo is from 2011. By 2013, the domes had been painted white but still appeared to be vacant. They were still vacant in 2020. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. [map]

Oil Exchange
Detroit, MI
The Oil Exchange building was built in 1959 as a muffler shop. The interior features 12 bays oriented around a turntable. Cars would be driven to the turntable at the center and be spun around to enter the desired bay. [map]

Robert T. Longway Planetarium Dome
Flint, MI
The Robert T. Longway Planetarium Dome was built in 1958. The dome is more than 60 feet wide. After damage from leaking in the mid-1960s, the dome was rebuilt. A cover protects it from further damage. [map]

Dome Sweet Dome
Harrisville, MI
The Dome Sweet Dome ice cream stand was vacant when these photos were taken in 2011. It was back in business in 2012 as the Ole Dairy Dome. Does anyone know what this building housed originally? For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Mary Proctor Randall Preschool

The Mary Proctor Randall Preschool was dedicated in 1967. [map]

Jackson Community College Community Events Center
Jackson, MI
The Jackson Community College Community Events Center dome was built in 1977 for the Michigan Space & Science Center which was located here before the college. The MSSC closed in 2003. For more, see this website. [map]

Superior Dome
Marquette, MI
