former station
Greenwood, MS
This former station now houses Frank's Flower Shop. It appears to be from the 1920s or 1930s. [map]

former Gulf station
Canton, MS
This former Gulf station appeared to be vacant when these photos were taken in 2019. [map]

former Gulf station
Meridian, MS
This former Gulf station is used now for storage and possibly some auto repair services. [map]

former Gulf station
Starkville, MS
This former Gulf station would have had two open canopies originally which are walled up now to create interior space. The building now houses a real estate office. [map]

former Gulf station
Winona, MS
This former Gulf station was known as Garner's Gulf Station. It was built around 1924. The building has/had been vacant for many years. When these photos were taken in 2019, it looked like the building was in use, or had been recently, as a food stand. [map]

former station
Winona, MS
I'm suspicious of the Texaco logos on the top of this former station. The tall rectangular column incisions are much more typical of Gulf stations. It's possible that the entire roof was replaced at some point. [map]

former Gulf station
Greenwood, MS
2010: 2019:
This former Gulf station is an unusual shape to fit this corner lot. There are also double the amount of round bands near the bottom of the canopy. Those would have originally been painted blue. I assume there was another station here originally and the canopy was added later. By 2011, the corner pole support and some of the panels above it had been damaged. By 2018, the canopy had been restored and was painted blue and white. [map]

former station
Natchez, MS
former station
Leland, MS
This former station in Natchez is known as the Triangle Filling Station. It operated from around 1926 until 1940. For more, see this website. [map]

This former station in Leland was built in 1922 as the Goyer Service Station. In 1978, the building was used as a Bank of Leland drive-thru branch. Most recently, the building has housed a photography studio and gift shop. [map]

former station
Nitta Yuma, MS
This former station, green building on the left, was probably built in the 1910s or 1920s. The building on the right might have been a restaurant or some other business. [map]
