|
This former station now houses Roger's Produce. [map] |
former station Ava, MO |
former station Maryville, MO |
The former station in Ava appeared to be vacant when this photo was taken in 2010. I don't know if the stonework is original. It appears to be petrified wood. The building now houses a hair salon. [map]
The former station in Maryville is also known as the Austin Spoor station. It was built as a Shell station in the 1920s or 1930s. It later served as a Texaco and Skelly station. The station closed in 1985. In recent years, the building has housed used car dealerships. [map] |
former station Exeter, MO |
|
The former station was restored sometime after 2016. The Sinclair sign was added then. I don't know if this was ever a Sinclair station. [map] |
former station Hamilton, MO |
former station Webb City, MO |
The former station in Hamilton was probably built in the 1920s or 1930s. [map]
The former station in Webb City was built in 1920 as the U.S. Filling Station. It serviced the vehicles that postal workers used and had columns like the post office across the street. They were later replaced with metal poles. Around 2016, the station was "restored" by the City and looks nothing like the original station. For more, see this website. [map] |

This former station appeared to be vacant when these photos were taken in 2012. In 2013, the building housed The Filling Station, an ice cream and sandwich shop. [map] |
Gay Parita station Paris Springs, MO |
|
Gay Parita station is a recreation of a station that was built here in the 1930s. It was destroyed by a fire in 1955. This building is from 2006. The stone garage in the second row above is original and was built in 1926. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map] |
former station Miller, MO |
|
The former station was built in 1927 by Sidney Casey, selling Tydol gas. In addition to selling gas, the building housed a general store, garage, barber shop, and cafe. The building was abandoned in 1961 with the realignment of Route 66. The restoration of the building was started in 2008 and is still ongoing. For more, see 1 and 2. [map] |
former station Brookfield, MO |
former station Chillicothe, MO |
The former station in Brookfield was built in 1948. By 2018, it was dressed up as a Skelly gas station. I don't know if it ever housed that brand. In 2023, the building began housing Raspberry's BBQ. [map]
The former station in Chillicothe was moved to its current location sometime between 2008 and 2013. I don't know where it was located before that. [map] |

The former station is now used by the Sehlke Truck Service. [map] |
