Deer Forest [gone]
Coloma, MI

Deer Forest opened in 1949. The park features a petting zoo, pony rides, kiddie rides, mini golf, and story book figures. The figures and murals had been recently repainted when these photos were taken in 2007. The Genie shown at top left was supposedly created for a float for Whirlpool and donated to the park in the 1960s. His voicebox was still operational. In 2009, the park was put up for sale. Although some of the rides were sold, the park remained open in 2011. By 2014, I believe all of the rides were removed. I doubt that any of the storybook figures are still there. The place was known as the Deer Forest Exotic Animal Sanctuary until it closed in 2015. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.
