|Deer Acres Storybook Amusement Park
|Deer Acres Storybook Amusement Park opened in 1958. In 2009, the name was changed to "Deer Acres Amusement Park". The storybook figures remained. The park also featured a children's petting zoo and rides. The park closed in 2010. Although there was talk of reopening in 2011, it never did. For more, see this website. [map]|

|Tawas City Library|
|These concrete playground figures were created by Gordon Clute. The whale, castle, and shoe house are gone now. There was also a big dog. They were apparently destroyed for safety reasons. The smaller figures remain. The cartoon statues were moved to the Tawas City Library.|
