| The Original Freezo supposedly opened in 1942. However, the earliest newspaper advertisement that I can find is for 1950 in Nashville. This location and two others were operating in Knoxville by 1951. This seems to be the only one left. The sign previously previously read "A Taste Thrill." By 2005, it was painted to read "The Original Freezo." The business is now known as Freezo and Grill. [map] |
