Baltimore, MD
The Chanticleer cocktail lounge was built in 1939. There was originally a rooster on top of the weathervane. The Chanticleer closed in the 1950s. The building was then used as a restaurant and catering hall. From 1972-2015, the building housed the Club Hippo bar. After that, the building has housed a CVS drug store. [map]

The initial residents of Greenbelt were selected by income level (low) and their willingness to actively participate in the community. This apartment building is directly across the street from the Roosevelt Shopping Center and the Greenbelt Theatre. [map]
