Berkeley High School
Berkeley, CA
Berkeley High School replaced some of its older buildings with these in 1938. The funding came from the WPA program. The shop and science buildings, the Florence Schwimley Little Theater, and the Community Theater were designed by architects Henry H. Gutterson and William Corlett, Sr. The exteriors feature concrete and stucco bas-relief sculptures. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]
