The front yard display at this residence featured a giant rabbit, cat and other animals. The Santas were there when this photo was taken in the summer of 2010. By 2013, these statues were all gone. |

These Dr. Seuss characters appeared in Dr. Seuss, aka Theodor Seuss Geisel, children's books. These sculptures were produced by Leo Rijn and are installed at three libraries in town.
The Grinch & Max sculpture was installed at the Naper Blvd. Library in 2012. Max is the Grinch's dog. [map] The Green Eggs and Ham sculpture was installed in front of the 95th St. Library in 2008. The nine-foot-tall Sam-I-Am character holds a plate of green eggs and ham which he convinces Guy-Am-I to try. [map] The eight-foot-tall Cat in the Hat sculpture was installed at the Nichols Library in 2007. [map] |
