Braidwood Zoo
Braidwood, IL
The Braidwood Zoo sculptures were created by Jack Barker of Essex, IL. After he died in 2012, his scrap metal and shredded plastic sculptures were auctioned off. Some of them wound up here as a display. They include an elephant, a polar bear, a giraffe, a cow, a steer, and a rat. They are decorated with lights during the Christmas holiday season. Crainville Landing

Around 2015, Crainville Landing began selling these statues and backyard work sheds on this property. Later, a Burgers & Cream frozen custard stand was added. Around 2018, the owner opened Safari Goofy Golf on the site using many of the statues. The owner passed away in 2019 and the property has been abandoned since then. [map]
