Paul Titus Carousel
Tacoma, WA
The Paul Titus Carousel was constructed from a 1917 C.W. Parker frame. The horses, lover's tub and sled had been sold off when Paul Titus bought the machine itself in 1994 and donated it to the Washington Carousel Society. The outer ring of Parker style horses was carved in 1996. The inner row of endangered species and native Washington animals was created in 2001. There is also a replica band organ. This carousel is located at the Point Defiance Zoo. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.
