The C.O.D. Garage was built in 1911. It was named after Clarence Oliver Dangberg who founded the town of Minden. Additions were made to the building in 1917 and 1927. The building also functioned as a showroom, selling Buicks, Chevrolets, Fords, Hupmobiles and Jeeps, as well as Lauson tractors and Goodyear Tires. The building also served as a Shell and Union Oil gas station. The garage closed in 2003. In 2008, it was announced that the building will be converted into a casino, bakery, museum and day spa. In 2013, construction began and the Union 76 sign, pumps, and canopy were removed. Just after these photos were taken in 2014, a new canopy and sign were added and the place reopened as the C.O.D. Casino. For more, see this website. [map]

The Pete Findlay Oldsmobile showroom was built in 1963. It was originally painted white with red trim. The building housed J.D. Byrider when the 2006 photo was taken above. The building housed a Service King and Hertz rental office in 2014. In 2016, the building was vacant. The design appears to be the same as this former showroom in Long Beach, CA. For more, see this website. [map]
Las Vegas, NV
The former dealership building looks like it's from the 1950s or 1960s. It housed Desert Chrysler Jeep in 2006. These photos are from 2014. In 2016, the building was being remodeled. Does anyone know what business was here originally? [map]
