former Gulf station [gone]
Willow Island, WV
This former Gulf station later served as a bus station and post office. The building had been abandoned for many years. I'm told that it was demolished in 2015.

former Gulf station
Grantsville, WV
This former Gulf station is now vacant. [map]

former station
Oak Hill, WV
This former station housed Wobo Motor Sales & Repairs when this photo was taken in 2012. By 2014, the building was housing Little Hawk's Motorcycle Service. The building now houses So-Pro Auto Detail & Window Tint. This station was probably built in the 1920s or 1930s. The service bay building to the right of the tiled roof building were most likely added later. [map]

former station
Harrisville, WV
This former station was vacant when these photos were taken in 2012. The blue zigzag border on the sign is suggestive of Pure Oil but I don't know if that brand was ever sold here. The sign has been painted to look like a record and reads WVHV, indicating that the building is now houses a radio station. [map]

former station [gone]
Huntington, WV
former station
Hundred, WV
This former station in Huntington housed Jeff's Bike Shop when this photo was taken in 2012. It was probably built in the 1920s. The building was demolished in 2016.

This former station in Hundred appears to be vacant. It is probably from the 1920s or 1930s. [map]

Westbrook's Esso
Kingwood, WV
Westbrook's Esso was built in 1927 and was previously known as the Englehart and Loar Esso station. It was also a Standard Oil station at one time. The station closed in 1979. Around 1999, Tom Westbrook restored it and added his collection of gas-related memorabilia. [map]
