Pennsylvania Egyptian Revival Buildings

M.S. Jacobs & Associates
Pittsburgh, PA
M.S. Jacobs & Associates occupies this Egyptian Revival building. I believe it was built in 1920. It was built as part of the Chartiers Cemetery which is located across the street. The building housed a tombstone engraving business. [map]

Pennsylvania Fire Insurance Company
Philadelphia, PA
The Pennsylvania Fire Insurance Company building was constructed in two phases. The three bays on the left were built in 1839. In 1902, the building was doubled in width in the same style and the parapet was added. The marble facade was saved and reinstalled in front of a new office tower built on the site in 1975. [map]
