Charcoal Pit
Wilmington, DE
The Charcoal Pit opened in 1956. It started with just four tables and now seats over 100 customers. The round building on the left, where take-out is offered, appears to have been added in the late 1950s. "The Pit" features char-broiled burgers and ice cream creations. There are three other locations in the Wilmington area. For more, see this website. [map]
