Co-Op Building [gone]
Albert Lea, MN
The Co-Op Building is part of Ken's Service & Auto Repair. The glass block facing was probably from the 1940s. Does anyone know more about this place? This photo is from 2012. By 2018, the tower and facade were gone and the building was completely remodeled.

Municipal Building
Alden, MN
The Municipal Building was built around 1938. It was designed by William Ingemann. The building houses City Hall and the Fire Department. [map]

David Park House
Bemidji, MN
The David Park House was designed by Edward K. Mahlum and built in 1936. In 1991, the building was purchased by the Bemidji State University. It now houses the university's alumni center. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [map]

Blue Earth
Post Building
Blue Earth, MN
I believe the Blue Earth Post Building was built in the 1930s. F. H. Davis bought the Post newspaper in 1931. He later sold the paper to the Johnsons. [map]

Brandon Auditorium, City Hall and Fire Department
Brandon, MN
The Brandon Auditorium, City Hall and Fire Department was built in 1936 as a WPA project. The building is concrete faced with fieldstone. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For more, see this website. [map]

Mesaba Motor Company [gone]
Hibbing, MN
This building previously housed the Mesaba Motor Company. It appears to be from the 1920s or 1930s. The building was not in use in 2011 when these photos were taken. By 2023, it was gone.

Pete Peterson Band Shell

I believe the Pete Peterson Band Shell was built in the 1930s as a WPA project. It was restored in the 1990s. [map]

The Roller Garden was built in 1930 as the Pastime Arena, an indoor riding academy. In winter, ice skating was also featured. In 1943, a wooden floor was added to half the space to offer rolling skating. From 1957 until the 1970s, the facility was used for tennis. Since the 1970s, the space focused on roller skating. It closed in 2021. The building now houses the Kenwood Gymnastics Center. [map]
