Ramova Theatre

2010: 2025:
The Ramova Theatre opened in 1929 as a "sister" to the Music Box Theater described above. The interior was designed in an atmospheric style, resembling a Spanish courtyard with twinkling stars. The theatre closed in 1985. In 2021, renovations began. It reopened in 2023 as a live music venue and restaurant. For more, see this website. [map]

Esquire Theatre

The Cadillac Palace Theatre was designed by Rapp & Rapp and opened in 1926 as the New Palace Theatre. It was later known as the RKO Palace Theatre, Eitel's Palace Theatre, and the Bismark Palace Theatre. In 1999, it was renovated and became the Cadillac Palace Theatre. The Riviera Theatre opened in 1918. It became a nightclub in 1986. It is now used as a concert and special events venue. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

The Esquire Theatre was designed by Pereira & Pereira and opened in 1938. From 1988-1990, the single-screen was converted to a six-plex. It closed in 2006. Portage Theatre

The Portage Theatre opened in 1920 as the Portage Park Theatre. It has been closed since 2018. For more, see this website. [map]
