|The Gutberlet Chevrolet building was built as the Van Fossen Garage in 1919. [map]|
|former Lakeshore Chevrolet
|The Lakeshore Chevrolet dealership opened here in 1998 and closed in 2008. This photo is from 2010 when the building was still vacant. It is still vacant as of 2019. The Jackshaw Chevrolet dealership was here in the mid-1950s. I don't know if they were the original tenant. The building appears to be from the late 1940s or early 1950s. [map]|
|former Buckles Motors
|This former Buckles Motors building was built in 1945 for John D. North Motor Sales, a Ford dealer. The dealership also sold gas at that point and had a couple of Texaco pumps and a sign. In 1956, the building began housing Buckles, selling General Motor and Pontiac. Buckles was still open in 2006 but gone by 2010 when this photo was taken. By 2018, the building was housing True Inspection Services. The building now houses Streamline Design & Print and is being restored. [map]|
|This building appears to be a former showroom. It now houses Chosen One Auto Detailing. Does anyone know the history of this building? [map]|
|former Morris Lincoln Mercury
|This showroom was built for Morris Lincoln Mercury in the 1960s. The shape of the windows was meant to simulate the profile of a V-8 engine although I don't see the resemblance. The sign on the roof revolved originally. The building housed Ganley Mazda in the 1970s. The building housed Motorcars of Canton when the top photos were taken in 2005. In 2010, the showroom was renovated and the sign structure on the roof was removed. The curved-out bases on the corners of the building were also straightened. The bottom photo is from 2012. The building now houses Stark State College's Automotive Technology Center. [map]|
