former Peoples Savings Bank
Oregon, OH
This former Peoples Savings Bank branch now houses the Future Wave Salon. [map]

Charter One Bank
Toledo, OH
This Charter One Bank was built in 1964. It was probably also a Peoples Savings Bank originally since the style looks the same as the one shown in Oregon, OH directly above. These photos are from 2009. The building later housed a Citizens Bank. It was vacant in 2020. For more, see this website. [map]

former Union National Bank
Youngstown, OH
The Union National Bank was designed by P. Arthur D'Orazio and was built around 1962. The thin, steel folded plate roof is supported on the exterior with steel, tubular columns. There are no interior supports. These photos are from 2009. By 2011, the building was housing a PNC Bank. The building has been vacant since at least 2018. [map]

Chase Bank
Heath, OH
This Chase Bank, a round structure with a slight dome roof and concrete pylons, appears to be mid-century modern. It was previously a Bank One but I'm not sure if that was the original tenant. [map]

Huntington National Bank
Canton, OH
This Huntington National Bank was built in 1966 as a Canton National Bank branch. I have seen this building style with the fluted knob on top elsewhere in Ohio. The building was vacant in 2020. The property is now being developed for O'Jay's Plaza. For more, see this website. [map]

former bank [gone]
Akron, OH
This former bank was another round building with a knob on top. In 2008, it was an AmTrust Bank. It was vacant in 2009 when this photo was taken. It was still vacant in 2011. By 2014, the building had been demolished.

Key Bank
Findlay, OH
FirstMerit Bank [gone]
Tiffin, OH
I believe the Key Bank and FirstMerit Bank were built in 1975 as part of the National City Bank chain. The Tiffin building had been demolished by 2018. [Findlay map]
